Nestled among pines and oaks, this Shasta Lake vacation home is best suited for smaller parties (there are beds for six persons). Fully furnished, including linens and kitchen utensils, it also includes satellite TV/VCR, a DVD player,  wireless internet, and use of the washer and dryer.  Bring your own movies, or rent them at the nearby market. The home has two large bedrooms (each with a queen-size bed), two baths, and an informal "great-room" configuration.  In addition, we can supply two twin rollaway beds.   The Retreat is air conditioned for your summer comfort. The house is within easy walking distance of the lake's shoreline.  Nearby there is a public boat launch ramp. Also available there are numerous lake services/rentals, including termporary dock rentals. If you like to golf, the Retreat is located within a one-hour drive of 12 golf courses.   Some are nine-hole courses, and some are semi-private 18-hole courses (reciprocal arrangements with other clubs).  Two spectacular 18-hole public courses are located within an hour's drive north (near Mt. Shasta/Weed), while a couple of others are located in and around the city of Redding, about a half hour's drive to the south. During the winter, if you like snow sports, Mt. Shasta Board & Ski Park is just a 45-minute drive up I-5.  The Retreat is equipped with a wood-burning stove and a supply of fire wood for that added winter coziness.
